Casting on a Budget

Come and spend a day learning how to cast on a budget with Kelly Allanson.

Create professional-looking jewelry with items you have around the house. Kelly will introduce you to Sand Casting, Water Casting, and Straw Casting.

Students will spend the day exploring different casting techniques that are easy to use in a small or at-home studio. Students are welcome to bring their own scrap silver or can purchase it at Mountain Gems on the day of the class.

There will be plenty of time to play and explore various casting techniques during this 1-day workshop. Each student will have the chance to turn at least 1 of their projects into a finished piece, if not more, under Kelly's guidance.

Go home feeling comfortable and confident around torches and molten metal, with the cost-effective knowledge to do so safely in your own space.

All experience levels welcome.

$145 + GST for the course

Students will NOT be required to purchase a tool kit. The studio supplies tool kits for use during all of the weekend Silversmithing classes.

Students will only be required to purchase any materials used for individual projects during the workshop.
